Respect the Game

This is one of my favorite softball stories of all. This exemplary story of compassion and respect for your competition is what the game of softball is all about. Yes, we are all competitive creatures when we step on the dirt, but it is always important to maintain respect for ourselves, our teammates, the opposing team and the game. This story is particularly close to me because I also tore my ACL my freshman year of college when attempting to steal second base. Many of you will face injuries and setbacks in your softball careers, but I encourage you to treat every game, every inning and every pitch as if it is your last.
