Is it easier or harder to hit a softball or a baseball?

For anyone who thinks it is easier to hit a softball than a baseball then you definitely need to check this out! According to this scientific study, a softball pitcher throwing 70mph from 43 feet away only gives the batter .350 seconds to react, while a baseball pitcher throwing 95mph from 60 feet away gives the batter .395 seconds to react! Also, the study examined how much force a baseball has vs. a softball. The baseball pitcher through to a fiberglass machine that calculated that his 95mph baseball pitch exerts an average of 2,411 lbs of force, however, Jennie Finch's first pitch to the machine shattered it--proving it likely exerted more force than the baseball!
