Jennie Finch: Building Confidence on the Mound

This is a great interview with Jennie Finch, two-time Olympian, and professional pitcher for the Chicago Bandits, about the importance of having confidence on the mound. It is imperative that as coaches and parents we teach young players to be aggressive on the mound and not back down because they are afraid to hurt someone or walk a batter. I continue to preach "speed" and "mechanics" first, "accuracy" second. To achieve consistency you must first have speed, balance and good mechanics.
